You may graciously donate to help our angels waiting to find their forever home.

We are having a fundraiser and there is nothing to buy or distribute!
Help a Pug in need and our environment and the planet. You don't have to do anything except find your old cell phones collecting dust, empty inkjet cartridges, and laser toners. (No accessories, chargers etc.)
To help make this a success we would be happy to provide a collection box for your office, church or your veterinarian's office.
>This fundraiser would also make an ideal "class project" for children.

Rewarding Volunteer Opportunties
Traveling
Volunteers are needed to drive anywhere from 50-150 miles to pick up a Pug in need. We don’t go any further than Little Rock or to Nashville and usually someone is available to meet us half way
Fostering & Adoption
We are always in need of loving and compassionate foster homes. Being a foster parent can be a very rewarding and loving choice. Pug Rescue of Memphis does not have a facility; volunteers foster all of our pugs in loving private homes. They are evaluated for temperament, personality, and any special needs they might have. Training, socialization, and any behavior issues are addressed.
Pug Rescue covers all of their medical expenses and we only ask that the foster homes love them and take them to our vet when necessary.
A Pug is typically in foster care for 4 weeks depending on their medical condition. If you have pets and are concerned that they would not accept a temporary visitor…. you can let us know if there is a particular age or sex or what temperament would blend best in your home.
Fostering can also be a family project and teach children respect for other living beings. To see and be a part of a rescue Pug regaining their dignity is nothing short of amazing. Pug rescue can have as many as 10 rescues in foster care at one time. Understandably, most of our foster homes can only handle one rescue at a time. A regular foster home that has had one rescue right after another may need a break or someone to keep the rescue while they are on vacation.
If you feel you would interested in fostering one of these adorable
pugs, please
to find out how you can help!!!
Follow-up
Anyone wanting to adopt must fill out an adoption application.
Taking care of the rescue pugs, in addition to our own families, takes up the majority of our time. We receive applications on a daily basis and need assistance from volunteers who can call and check the vet references. We strive to match them with the perfect family. Anyone who is "owned" by a Pug has the experience we need!
Events
We’ve had many opportunities to participate in rescue events in the city. As PRM grows we would like to get more involved in fund raising. There are lots of ideas in the works and we need people with some background or persons willing to learn about putting on an event or fundraiser. In short, anyone with a desire to help is welcome. If you have an idea or special talent you'd like to offer, please let us know! Volunteers are needed to man booths and provide information on the group and the breed in general. It's an excellent way to raise awareness of rescue groups and it is also a lot of fun. Volunteers for various events are desperately needed if we are to continue to be a presence in the community. Of course pets are welcome to accompany their owners!
Have a heart, help a Pug!
